Left the caravan at the farm, while in Ulladulla and Penrith.
Took off after morning tea. Cous drew us a mud map. This took us through some lovely farm country and dirt roads - was fun.
But it was very evident how drought stricken the country was. For example, we saw farmers grazing their cows on the side of the road, because they had no feed left on their property.
Some of the cattle were very thin, with their bones sticking out, the poor things. Also in the paddocks, could see where the cows had eaten the bark off the trees as far as they could reach, right down to the smooth wood.

Came out near Yass, then went the usual way down through Murambateman, Braidwood etc. From there on, the countryside looked much greener, the animals fatter and food for them to graze on.
Had lunch at our old haunt - Gunnadoo bakery - had our usual pie and drink - yummy. Snowy had sausage roll - but would only eat it when I removed the pastry! Bought Ma and Pa some fruit pies and a big quiche from bakery.
Arrived at Ulladulla about 1600 and it was really good to see Mum and Dad again. Their yard looks beautiful, with all the trees grown so high. Can see where the pesky bandicoot had been digging in the lawn, eating the roots and killing off patches of grass.
Catching up with Mum - tired after trip, to bed early - Snowy was tired too. Tone and Pa stayed up late and had jolly chat.
