Tuncurry - Forster 3

DAY 46 Sunday 4 March

Tuncurry-Forster. Had a good sleep in this morning. Went for a drive through Booti Booti National Park today, very pretty scenery, lots of green and very dense trees, looked tropical.

Stopped at Smith's Lake and had a picnic, then Tone, Snowy and I walk along the beach. Snowy had a good time and sniffed every inch of the beach and grass.

But would not go into the water today for some reason. She really loved the beach at Bulahdelah.

Cooked sausages, tomatoes and onions for dinner tonight- yummy.

DAY 47 Monday 5 March

Tuncurry-Forster. Went into Forster to do some grocery shopping. Also looking for a shop to get a 12 volt fan so we can use it when free parking.

Getting ready to leave tomorrow.

Decided to pull up the carpet in the van, was too hard to keep clean, and was a nuisance, because it is too close to the cooking area.

There was nice lino underneath, the same as on the uncarpeted area. Was quite hard to pull out all the staples, but got there.

The slide out works well if not smoother without the carpet. I can now just sweep through and wipe over the lino, much easier than the carpet. Now looks good, and makes the area look bigger.

Tone cooked peas, potatoes and schnitzels for dinner - yumm.

DAY 48 Tuesday 6 March

Tuncurry-Forster. Rained very heavily all night. Woke up in the middle of the night with rain on my leg and the bed was wet.

The skylight above the bed was open! Also the bathroom fan was open only a small amount, but rain still getting in.

Much clammering around in the dark, trying to find the light.

Snowy was very excited jumping around, tail wagging wildly, thinking it was morning already and time to play! - Oh boy!

Water mopped up, Snowy calmed down, off to sleep again.

Still raining very heavily and had set in this morning. Very grey and overcast - no sign of any blue sky anywhere.

Decided to stay another day, and wait for it to pass over - revolting weather for travelling.
