Driving from Narrogin, we stopped at Toodyay and spent the night at Moondyne Caravan Park on Racecourse Rd. This is situated off the main road heading into town, up a steep winding road.
This is a lovely place to stay. Set in a gully and covered in shady gum trees and light yellow sand. It was full moon that night and it felt as though we were camped in a huge dry, brightly moonlit creek bed. Snowy thought it was daytime and wanted to go out and play all night.
Moving from inland to the coast today. Beautiful drive through parts of the countryside, mainly around Bindoon and Gin Gin. Lush green farmland, rolling hills and random clumps of rock formations - very pretty.
Getting closer to the coast, the scenery changed dramatically, lots of sand, Banksia Trees and then green low lying coastal scrub and sand dunes. Next stop, Dongara.
