Tocumwal - Nsw - Australia

DAY 252 Sunday 30 September WEEK 38

Trip to Tocumwal (Toce) Continued. There are some well preserved buildings in town, circa 1850's. Most of the present day shops are in these original buildings.

I find old shop fronts really interesting. Some have lovely windows, tiles or little statues on top. This one above, has lions and owls perched up high. These have been keeping an eye on the main street for over a hundred years.

There are also some old homes. This one in town was immaculate, it must have been a bank or something originally. It had a beautiful cottage garden and white picket fence.

The Police Station - see pic above - is a particularly attractive building. So is the one below.

Australian country towns are fascinating, especially the really old ones. There is so much to see traveling around the Australian countryside.
