Tocumwal - Nsw - AustraliaTrip to Tocumwal (Toce) - on the Nsw - Victorian border - between Cobram and Finley. We were off to see our friends and their new daughter at Koonoomoo. Toce and Koonoomoo are opposite each other, divided by the Murray River. Rained most of the way, which is a good thing. Australia needs as much rain as it can get. We are in the midst of a 7 year drought that doesn't seem to be breaking anytime soon. This Australian drought is having crippling consequences, most of rural Australia is struggling.
The scenery was very green and there seemed to be lots of water around in small farm dams, but the story is much different inland. Stayed at a nice motel that we found on the internet - Kingswood Motel and Convention Center. Great deal for 3 nights. Nice quiet place, very clean and near the Toce Golf Club. Owners Gill and Adrian friendly and helpful.
