We were thinking of going over, but no point really, the island is exactly the same as the adjacent mainland and we had explored all around there. Plus I didn't want lil Snowy to get eaten by dingoes.
Rainbow beach was huge and at the bottom of a hill. There were lots of surfers in the water and 4 wheel drives on the beach.
There was also a huge propeller from a shipwreck at the look-out at Rainbow Beach.

From the look-out and could see the coastline stretching forever on both sides.
The beaches were beautiful, but the drive to get to them was long and monotonous. There were huge dips along the way, the road had been built through and over huge sandhills. That was fun - roller coaster road - Yea!!
The road went through Great Sandy National Park. The park is in 2 parts, Fraser Island is the first part, and from there to Noosa is the rest of it.

Back to Tin Can Bay and off for another swim and very quick sit in the sun. Then another swim.
Went to the local fish factory and bought some local tiger prawns, they were delicous.
Friends called, they are driving passed here on the way down to the airport and we are going to meet up on Thursday and have lunch together.
