Surfers Paradise 5
To Movie World today. Was great fun. Went on the Batman rides first. Batman the ride part 2 was really great. It was a simulated ride - was very exciting! It really felt like we were flying in the sleek, black Bat Jet - Bat Girl was driving!! Strapped into our seats behind Bat Girl, we could see everything through the huge front window of the Bat Jet. Flying through, up and over the buildings of Gotham City, weaving in and out at a horrific speed - was soooo good! We crashed into The Joker's gigantic air balloon - SMASH!!! - CRASH!!!- BAM !!!!- felt like we had hit a brick wall. The Bat Jet stalled and we were falling down, down, leaning dangerously forward in our seats, down almost to the ground. Pulling up again with a huge labouring effort, just at the last minute. This ride for me was the best one ever, I really enjoyed it.
Also went on the Scooby-Doo Spookey Ride, some of it was ok, but I didn't like the roller coaster in that one. It was a very high roller coaster in a very small confined space, also very dark with lights flashing everywhere. I made the mistake of looking down when we were right up the top and nearly wet my pants!!! Because of the limited space, the coaster had many sharp corners, and whipped you around them at high speed. It nearly ripped me darn neck off.
During the movie, we got sprayed with all sorts of disgusting things including donkey snot (water) and feeley things rubbed against our legs and puffed out air, when spiders and other creepies appeared in the movie. EEEEk!! The theme parks were the best part about Surfers Paradise. The Wild West section was good too, the Canyon Waterfall ride was very wet! Boot hill was great, and we sat on a big old wooden bench under the verandah of the Old Jail and ate our hotdog. Tone and I left early afternoon, had seen all we wanted to. Luce and Graeme stayed on and about 1630 it started to rain. They were soaking wet from the Canyon Waterfall ride, as well as getting caught in the rain when we picked them up. When they got back to the caravan, it was caos, two soaking wet bodies and a very excited dog to see them. IN THIS SECTION Surfers Paradise
