Surfers Paradise 4Surfers Paradise: Woke up early to good weather. To Wet and Wild Water Park today. Yeehaaa - so excited. Got there early, so no waiting in long lines to get on rides. We hit the scarey ones first, the Tournado, The Black Hole, Speed Slide - Mac 5 Zone and Mammoth Falls. Had to go on the Tournado again, it was so scarey - oooooh, love the adrenaline rush. Was even better when I screamed all the way down. The Speed Slide was fantastic, I loved the feeling of free-falling. The wave pool was good too. It was great fun. I have never been to a Water Park before.
wet and wild water park - healensvale That evening we were going to see the Space Walker show in Surfers Paradise. It looked really good on the website and it was adveritsed everywhere. Anyway, got there and it was closed for repairs!! They could have put that on the website I would have thought! Then we went to the Hard Rock Cafe and there was a 40min wait on a table. So off we went in search of somewhere else to have dinner, we were very hungry by this stage! Came across a Tepanyaki restraunt and had a lovely meal there. We sat outside and there were lots of other restraunts around in a little square. There was a movie showing up on a big screen, Superman Returns. Tone, Luce, Graeme and I all had a jolly time together again and after dinner, we went to an icecream place that made up 'cold rock.' This is your fav flavour icecream with your choice of goodies chopped up and added to it. Then it is all mixed up by hand on a cold slab with stainless steel paddles. Lucy had bubblegum icecream with caramel fudge, jaffas and mini M & M's. Greame had chocolate icecream with caramel fudge, macadamia nuts and maltesers. Tone and I are a bit old fashioned, we just had plain icecream - I had cheesecake flavour and Tone had milo.
