RV Camping. Places we have stayed - Caravan parks in Australia - 2007
1. - Apollo Gardens Caravan Park ♥ - Craigieburn - Vic - 20 mins from Melbourne.
When we picked up our new 5th wheel from Ballarat, we had nowhere to park it!
We put it into storage at Apollo caravan park for a couple of weeks until we were ready to leave. Reasonable rates and secure.
Then we moved out of the storage yard into the park, filled up with water, packed the van, said goodbye to family and took off.The caravan park had all modern facilities. Excellent secure storage facilities. Drive through sites.

2. - Free roadside park / rest area - McCoy's Bridge - Vic
On our first day traveling in our new 5th wheel, we headed up towards Sheparton.
Made our way slowly through the dry, parched country, via Sheparton, Cobram and Kiabram.
Staying overnight at our first free park/rest area at McCoy's Bridge - east of Wyuna.
It was a large parking area with lots of shady river gums, along a dry river. Plenty of turning space. A wheat farm on one side and bridge and road in the distance on the other. Rubbish bins and an old broken stone bbq.
There was a beautiful sunset, pinky orange. The silvery morning light was lovely over the farm and harvested wheat fields.
