RV Campgrounds - 2007RV Campgrounds Australia. A description of the places where we have stayed. This includes the past 8 months, the first leg of our 5th Wheel travels journey. Some have been very basic, but great places to stay, some basic and not so great. Will tell you about my favourite ones and good features of others. We used a variety of books to decide where to stay. These included - CMCA booklet - Camps 4 - RACV caravan parks - brochures from local Information Centres - places recommended by other travelers
Where we stayed, depended on 4 main things; 1 - 'Dog friendly' Because we were traveling with our much loved Maltese / Westy X - Snowy. 2 - Space. We have a 26ft 5th wheel and we simply could not have got into some places. Much taller than most other caravans. 3 - Computer coverage. Needed this to work on our web sites, emails etc. 4 - 'Dump point' To empty black water tank. Sometimes we had to find a dump point along the way. These are listed in the Camp 4 book, also on the CMCA web site. More caravan parks are putting them in now. Some were situated at easily accessed public places, for example, at the Council Water Depot at country towns, or Lions Parks.
