Preparations 2

Having nowhere to store the van at home and continue our preparations, we booked into the Apollo Gardens Caravan Park in Craigieburn only 20mins away.

We parked the van in the storage yard for a week - very convenient.

Don't forget to click on the place names to see them on the map and follow our travels.

Then we went up every day and packed the van. Tone replaced the drawers that had been taken out to fit the washing machine.

It felt really good making the bed and stocking up the cupboards, working out where to put things.

While storing things away, I wondered where our travels would take us, the people we would meet, the places we would see.

After all this time, our preparations were complete and we were nearly ready to go.

MONDAY: 16th January - Melbourne - Hot day 36 deg

Moved into the caravan park for 2 nights to fill up with water, and settle in.

Still sorting out where to store things, and how to empty tanks etc. The bed was comfortable - very important!

TUESDAY NIGHT: 17th - MELBOURNE - Hot day.

Luce, our youngest daughter, Graeme her boyfriend and my sister Bett ( I will really miss them ) came for dinner in the caravan.

We had kebabs from our fav Turkish shop, delicious! and good time was had by all. Until it was time to say goodbye.

I was really sad to leave. VERY SAD :(
