Manjimup. Last night the sky was illuminated by millions of very bright stars. It was a beautiful sight. We could see clearly the Milky Way and other star formations.
cute little western rosella
That night when we went for our evening walk, it was very dark and the sky seemed to be so close and bright. I kept looking up at the stars and not looking where I was walking!! Kept bumping into Tone and Snowy.
The next day I was looking upwards at the top of the Fire Lookout Tree and was tripping over tree roots. Yep, I've been having a good trip. Lol.
Day 410 Tuesday 5 March
Lovely sunny morning - off exploring today. We traveled along the highway towards Pemberton and Beedelup National Park. On the way we stopped at the Diamond Tree.
This was a huge Karri with a very thick trunk. It was a climbing tree with a ladder and Fire Lookout right at the top. There were lots of people climbing. From a distance, they looked like rather large colorful ants making their way up and down the tree.
rosellas and parrots scrummaging around under leaves for bugs
On the next page, we visit Gloucester National Park and the video above shows some of the pretty native birds we saw there.- red Western Rosellas and Port Lincoln Parrots. Australian Native Birdlife are usually brightly colored.
