glimpses of the sparlkling blue sea driving to kalbarri
Day 500 Wednesday June 4 WEEK 73
The drive to Kalbarri, via the coast road from Dongara was a very pleasant one. The weather was warm, the sky bright blue with only a few fuffy white clouds.
The scenery was very green. Newly sewed fields of bright green crops just starting to grow in neat, narrow rows stretching for miles and miles. Sandunes in the distance, bief glimpses of the sparkling blue sea, a huge pink lake and coastal scrub.
Then, over the rise and around the bend, there was the coast. Beautiful cliffs, long stretches of white sandy beaches and Kalbarri.

We have made several trips to Kalbarri and have family here. This is the first time we have traveled up with a caravan. There are a lot of things to see and do in and around the town. These can be found on the Internet, the Information Centre and Local Tourist Agencies in the main street.
