The Old Post office is now the Tourist Information Center, and has a beautiful interior.

It has very elaborate plaster work on the ceilings and walls, beautiful solid old doors and an unusual square wood, glass section of ceiling. Outside, old lamps, cast iron fence and scary looking statues.

Across the road, is another beautiful Victorian building, the Shamrock Hotel. The history of the Shamrock is interesting and is the third hotel on this site.

Unfortunately, hotels had a distinct inclination to burn down in the early days. The Shamrock was built around 1897 and is in immaculate condition.
