Gold Country - Bendigo - Victoria. We went past ever changing scenery on this interesting trip.

On the first leg, the land was dry and covered in long thin gum trees and we could see where searching for gold had taken place amongst the creek beds, rocky hills and trees.

Then as we went further on, the Australian countryside changed from dry treed areas to lush green fields, small hills and fat healthy cows and sheep grazing.
There were also beautiful green fields of planted grain starting to grow.

The farmers in this area are calling this time; the "green drought" because, when it eventually rained recently, they bought their seed, and planted.

Unfortunately, the growing crop is going to die, as there has been no follow up rain. So the poor farmers will lose their crop and won't be able to get their money back to pay for the seed purchased. Poor buggers can't win.
