The farm house was a lovely old place, with beautiful high ceilings, old doors, with leadlight and stained glass windows over them.It was really nice, a typical Australian country building.
Big verandahs around most of the house. The back verandah had been filled in over the years and now houses the toilet, bathroom and wash room.
Some of the wall in the kitchen was exposed - cous doing some renovations - and could see how the walls were made with mud and straw. They were very thick.
7 cats and 2 birds - a cockateel and a cockie ( sulpha crested cockatoo ) that constantly said "hello darlin" and "watch out." Also lived here.
This cockie was amazing, it lived in a tree in the back yard. It stays there in the tree, never flies away, has never been in a cage.

"hello darlin - watchout!!"
Also at the farm were sheep, cows and bulls, wheat fields and lots of sheds including a very old, working shearing shed - chooks too and roosters.
One of the girls also had a cute little ferret called Coco, so named because her mother was called Chanel. It slithered along the ground like a snake and jumped up and bit everyone except for its doting owner. It also smelled baaaddddd - she loved it - thats the main thing!
cow and calf
We parked the caravan next to two shady gumtrees, opposite the horses, below the farmhouse and hooked up to power in the shed. Had dinner up at the house, cous cooked sate chicken and rice, which was lovely. Off to bed early, very tired from the traveling and heat.
Was great to see my country cousin again - except for Aunty's funeral, has been 20 years. We had a lot of catching up to do.
Air con kept cutting out - will have to get some more petrol for generator - only lasts about 3 hours!! - ahhhhhhh!!
