Country Victoria 3

Country Victoria continued.

Friends from Melbourne, were now living up this way, so we gave them a call.

They were only an hour away - just out of Cobram in Koonoomoo.

NOTE - Need to get fuel for generator - Don't want to be stuck in the heat like we were at McCoy's Bridge ever again!

Fuel consumption was very high today. The tank wasn't full when started, but ran out very quickly. We started off with 3/4 tank and on empty when we reached Sheparton x 3 hours later. It took 56.8L and cost $66.

Truck and 5th wheel handled well on smaller bumpy roads. 80K's seems to be a good speed on smaller roads.

Can handle 90k's on freeway and was good with cruise control. Getting used to the feel of things and towing a caravan.

Snowy is feeling the heat but still interested in what is going on around her and exploring when we stop.

Saw lots of fruit trees today along the roadside - mainly pears.

The countryside was extremely dry and the rivers, creeks and dams were very low.

It got a little greener with irrigation channels as we got closer to the Murray river.

Poor Snowy was missing Lucy and looked sad in the back seat.
