Cobar - Nymagee cont. There were also some very old buildings from the early days. A big two story building that used to be the Post Office. A beautiful old house and an old shop.
These are now in gross dis-repair, but have lots of character even now. If only we knew who used to live, work in these lovely old pieces of Australian history. They would have had some stories to tell for sure.

In the pub, there was a bunch of photos of our much loved, sadly now departed Aussie, Slim Dusty. Skinny Dirty I call him. He was here for the Nymagee Country Festival years ago.
Mick, the publican at the pub, kindly made me a cup of tea. Something he doesn't do very often he recons. We had a yummy pie with our cuppa on the front verandah.

On the way back, we saw a spiky lizard sunning itself on the road, bit dangerous Mr. Lizard. We had to slow right down to avoid hitting it.

The scenery, terrain along this drive changed several times and it was a fun outing, it took us about 2 hours. We saw so much in that time.
