Cobar - Nymagee
Cobar - Nymagee - nearly there. Then further along, still heading for Nymagee, we came to a huge section of bright yellow fluffy wattle trees. These looked beautiful against the bright blue sky.

wattle blossoms - can see a bee in the top of the picWe stopped to take a photo and the bush was absolutely covered in bees and wasps. Could smell the sweet scent of the wattle flowers. The bees would have made some lovely honey out of this wattle nectar. A bit further on, a big blue tongue lizard appeared. It was making its way slowly across the road. I used to have one of these for a pet when I was a kid.

australian blue tongue lizard It hissed at me when I was taking a pic. From a safe distance! I could see right down its glossy pale pink throat and its long blue tongue. It stayed still for me to take a pic and then went off on its way. These lizards look prehistoric don't you think?

from flat terrain to small hills and bouldersRollin down the dirt country road again, kicking up huge clouds of red dust, the countryside began to change. It was now quite rocky with big rounded boulders. Also huge flat and individual rocky outcrops were visible on top of small hills. Then we saw higher hills in the distance and soon started a gentle climb through these.
