It's still raining!!!Still raining. Up to Cairns to buy a new mob phone to replace our old CDMA. Also went looking for another shop to buy an aerial connection for it. Couldn't find the shop after driving up and down the very long street a couple of times. When we got home, we discovered we had been given the wrong address! Derrr.
DAY 152 Thursday 21 June. Woke to light showers this day! Could see the hills close to the caravan park on either side, for the first time. We jumped into the car off to Cairns in the fine weather while it lasted. We always leave the 5t Wheel RV at the caravan park during our trips around the Australian country side. Then hook it up and we are off again on our travels around Australia.
On the way we actually saw the little pointed mountain called Walshes Pyramid. We had been driving past it for the last 3 days, but it was shrouded in thick cloud. Was a surprise to see it! Now the clouds had lifted, the countryside around Cairns was revealed for the first time. There were jagged pointy mountains behind mountains, ranges all around. Quite dramatic. Found the shop without any trouble this time. Stocked up on fresh fruit and veg on the way back to the 5th Wheel at Fishery Falls.
"Walkies Snowy" - nearly got trampled in the rush to the door! She was glad to be able to go for a decent long walk. Snowy hates being cooped up when it is wet. In enclement weather, Snow gazes out the caravan window, and sighs a lot. Yummy bbq steak for dinner. DAY 153 Friday 22 June. RAINING!!!! Thick low clouds covering surrounding hills and countryside, dark grey gloomy!!! Ahhhhhh.......To local pub for dinner tonight.
