Agnes Water Queensland Australia

agnes water - main beach queensland australia

DAY 104 Tuesday 1 May 2007

Very cold night, lovely sunny morning. All packed up and off to Agnes Water. The GPS in the car tried to take us on a very rough dirt road, a shortcut but too rough for the caravan, lucky had some room to turn around back onto the main road.

Boring scenery on the way until we turned off to the coast. Lots of coastal scrub and some small hills.

Arrived 1230, caravan park at a little place called Round Hill about 5ks out of town.

Small caravan park with nice family running it. Lots of Kookaburras.

Big shady sites and there were cane toads there. Saw one flattened on the road leading into the park.

Apparently one has to spray them with a mixture of detol and baby oil and that kills the little critters dead.

After settling in, went into town to have a look. Quite a few shops and a beautiful long beach.

On the beach information sign - see top video - for water temperature, it was written - Great!

Have got a few things to see here ie, the town of 1770 and Eurimbula National Park.

Had nice candlelight dinner outside, no mozzies. We had yummy homemade hamburgers and a delic fresh paw paw.
