5thWheel Travels - Australia - This is a summary of our 1st trip.
Hitching and unhitching was a pain sometimes, but I often watched others doing the same; caravans, trailer campers, tents, etc. Everyone has to do it - except for motor homes I guess. So might as well just get on with it. But then, we did weigh up the pros and cons; motor home versus 5th wheel.
The fact that we can unhitch and drive off is a great bonus. We don’t have to tow another car behind, as the big motor homes do. We could leave the 5th wheel safe at the caravan park and go off exploring, shopping etc.

No-one I talked to ever looked forward to stowing stuff away and hitching up again. But once back on the road heading to a new place and adventure, all that was forgotten.
It was also interesting to see how many people put out their little Australian flags on the canopy as a part of setting up - many did this. I asked a few people why they did. They all said the same thing; that they enjoyed flying the Australian flag, wherever they went.
