Both Tony and I are retired now and free to join that happy band of grey haired wanderers traveling around this vast, beautiful country of ours - Australia downunder.
Snowy, our much loved westie-maltese X is also with us. She loves traveling in the car and happily sits, sleeps and looks out the window, safely strapped in her harness on the back seat.
We have been planning this long trip for years now and finally after a few hiccups, for example, our youngest child (now 20) not quite ready for us to go off and travel so far away - we were on our way in our new RV.
Have never had a caravan or trailer before, so it will be a fun???!!! learning experience for us.
We bought our 5th wheeler at Ballarat, Victoria from a very friendly company. The guys were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They changed a few things around for us, and installed my lovely 'Dometic' 3kg capacity washing machine. Also attached the hitch onto the truck.
We had been looking around at places to buy for a few years. The American caravan sites on the internet were great, I used to look at them for hours. There were so many different models and designs to get ideas.
When we chose where to buy, we made many trips up from Melbourne over 2 years until we were ready.
